关于战争的记忆
我们看到深埋黑暗中的战壕，斑驳墙面上穿透层层砖石的弹孔，空无一物的炮坑及一切大地的伤疤。如何重塑一重战争的记忆警醒世人？一系列光的缝隙被营造出来，构成连续的博物馆体验，来自屋顶或侧面缝隙的光线随时间变化。
MEMORY OF WARS
We saw the trenches in the deep darkness, the bullet holes that penetrated the mottled bricks, the empty cannon pits, and all scars of the earth.
How do we rebuild the memory of wars and awaken the world? At the monumental fortress of Capo d’Orso, a military museum along a sequence of sunbeams are created to form an immersive experience, as soldiers once seen in defense trenches, where the dramatic light and shadow changes over time.
新旧并置
恢宏的历史遗迹被完整保留下来，新博物馆被小心的加建在其旁边。现代展厅扩建在岩石挡土墙之侧面，一面是天光沐浴久经风雨的岩石墙壁，一面是连续的坡道和水平长窗呈现没有阻挡的山景视野。历史展厅扩建在防御工事之上，用钢结构悬起轻质混凝土体量，上方一束天光聚焦荒芜的历史遗存。
JUXTAPOSITION: OLD & NEW
The magnificent historical sites have been completely preserved, and the new museum space is carefully added to its side. The contemporary exhibition hall was expanded on the outer edge of the stone retaining wall, bathed in the new skylight. A continuous ramp and a series of horizontal windows allows a meditative journey to the mountain top with an unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains.
The historical exhibition hall was expanded on top of the defense fortress, with a unique structures suspending the lightweight concrete enclosure on top of the historic relics below.
连续景观
山地上散落的遗址被连续的景观元素连接起来，从山下的住宿营地开始，经坡道展厅折返而抵达山顶的炮台遗迹。现代展厅的屋顶上是150米长连续的观景平台，与山顶炮台开阔体验形成呼应。
CONTINUOUS LANDSCAPE
The relics scattered on the mountain are linked by continuous landscape elements, terraces, ramps and stairs , connecting the hotel site below the hill to the museum on top of the hill. In addition, the roof of the added exhibition hall provides a 100-meter-long continuous ramp which serves as viewing terrace and connects to the grand openness of the hilltop forts.
未来，海洋与天空
如同历史所讲述的，文明在炮弹的伤痕中获得新生。
军事博物馆的一线天光在山顶尽头放大，望向远方的海洋与天空。

FUTURE, OCEAN AND SKY
On the very top of the hill, the linear skylight in the museum opens up at the north end and looks into the distant ocean and sky. Capo d'Orso, Palau, today rewrites a new story of hope and peace here.
